Rub with Dryer Sheet

One of the easiest, and arguably cheapest, ways to eliminate static cling from clothes is to rub it with a dryer sheet. Available for just a couple bucks per box, dryer sheets are inexpensive and readily available at most general home goods stores. The next time you notice static cling on your shirt or pants, take a single dryer sheet and rub it across the surface of the fabric. It should neutralize the electrical charge immediately.

Rub with Aluminum Foil

If you don’t have any dryer sheets available, try rubbing a crumbled-up ball of aluminum foil across your clothes. Take a small piece of aluminum foil, crumble it into a small ball, and rub it across your clothes to eliminate static cling. It works just as well, though it won’t leave your clothes smelling nice and fresh afterwards.

Spray with Water

Of course, another solution to deal with static cling is water. Good old fashioned H2O will neutralize static cling with minimal effort. Anti-Static Sprays

Simply spray the anti-static product over your clothes, at which point it should no longer be statically charged.

Ground Yourself

Going back to the basics of physics, you can eliminate static cling by grounding yourself — or in other words, touching something that’s grounded. If you’re at home or in the office, for instance, try touching a doorknob. This should ground you; therefore, eliminating static cling.

The Pinroll

There are several ways to cuff your jeans, one of which involves the pinroll. To create the pinroll, roll the bottom of your jeans about an inch up, and then fold the denim fabric back down. You can then cuff your jeans at the hem to create a smooth cuff. The pinroll cuff looks best when worn with straight-leg or skinny-leg jeans.

Relaxed Roll

The relaxed roll looks similar to the pinroll, but it has one major difference: an extra inward fold. To create the relaxed roll, follow the steps above by rolling the bottom of your jeans about an inch up and then folding the fabric back down. However, you should then create an additional roll by folding the top of the fabric back inwards; thus, concealing it from plain sight. The relaxed roll is simple and easy to achieve, and it’s often preferred because it hides the true bottom of your jeans.

The Iron Worker

A third roll to consider when sporting jeans is the iron worker. It’s generally recommended for long and/or heavy styles of denim, especially when worn in conjunction with boots. To achieve the iron worker, take the bottom of your jeans and make a cuff about 4-5 inches wide. Next, smooth out the cuff and place it over the top of your boots. Sorry if you were expecting more, but that’s all it takes to make the iron worker cuff!
